How to have your data deleted
This page is for anyone who wants OT AI to delete data relating to them or their business in the eignaPost service.
This right applies to everyone, wherever they live. It is not limited to the area covered by the GDPR or any other legal framework. You do not need to log in or obtain our approval.
Step 1: Email us
Email personuvernd@otai.is.
Subject line: Eyðing gagna
The subject line means “Data deletion”.
Include either:
- The email address used to submit content.
- The name of the Facebook Page or Instagram account concerned.
Step 2: We acknowledge your request
We respond within five working days to confirm that we have received your request.
Step 3: We delete the data
We delete the data within 30 days of acknowledging your request and send you written confirmation when this is complete. The confirmation includes a reference number that the customer can use with Meta or for their own audit.
What we delete
- All draft posts and all published posts stored in our system.
- Property facts extracted from emails.
- All submitted images.
- Staff directory entries: name, job title, email address, telephone number and profile photograph.
- Meta access tokens.
- The connection to Facebook and Instagram itself.
The data is removed from active systems immediately and from backups during the next regular backup cycle, no later than 30 days afterwards.
We only retain data that we are legally required to keep, such as accounting records of payments.
You can also disconnect the service yourself, immediately
- Go to Meta Business Manager.
- Select Business settings.
- Select Apps.
- Find OT AI and select Remove.
This immediately revokes our access to your Page. Then email us using the steps above to request deletion of the remaining data.
